Spreading the Destination Medicine Story
The Destination Medicine Editorial Committee were chuffed to share the work done to date during the recent National Regional Training Hubs Forum. Held in Sydney in early June 2023, the Forum was attended by RTH representatives from all over Australia, as well as from the Department of Health and Aging, our funding partner.
Having ticked over more than 20,000 downloads of our total 82 episodes we can claim success in providing information about rural medical study, training and careers in a format that overcomes geography and lack of access to medical peers and mentors in our smaller rural locations. Dr Pip Southwell entertained Forum participants as she told the story of the Podcast’s conception, evolution and development along with continued growth. DM episodes have proven to be timeless, as Episodes one through to 82 continue to be listened to every month.
