Destination Medicine Podcast on the WONCA international stage
Destination Medicine Podcast made the international stage at the recent WONCA conference held in Sydney last week. Our very own Dr. Pip Southwell presented on behalf of the Editorial Committee and her presentation was exceptionally well received by a packed room and she fielded a multitude of questions immediately after her presentation as well as at the end of the session.
One of the major themes from the thematic analysis of our first 12 student series episodes was the influence that General Practitioners have on individuals in choosing Medicine as a career. We may have also picked up a bit more talent for the podcasts from the audience. Pip completed her presentation by thanking the many GPs in the room for the role they play, often unbeknownst to themselves, in attracting more young people into medicine. Congrats to all.
